Bienvenidos

An evening of switching off in southern Andalusia – that is perhaps the best way to describe a visit to the „Pata Negra“.

Let yourself be charmed by the authentic atmosphere, the flavourful tapas and our delicious specialities.

Enjoy a fine glass of wine from our extensive wine list.

Treating yourself to a little „holiday“ in the middle of everyday life – at Pata Negra it is possible!

Pata Negra (literally „black hoof“, referring to the dark ham of the Iberian pig) first opened its doors on 1 April 2001 on Leipzig’s Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse, known locally as the „Karli“.

Ever since, Leipzig and its guests have been enjoying Spanish specialities such as paella or classic tapas right on their doorstep.

Tapa means „lid“ and originally referred to a slice of ham or cheese placed like a lid on a glass of sherry or wine to keep the flies out. Over time the tapas became ever more refined and grew into a culinary culture of their own.

Mediterranean meat and fish specialities as well as seafood round off our offering.
